With their great annual concert "Family & Friends", the band LeVeL 6 has once again been a complete success. When the tickets were issued before the concert, the demand was very high. So it was not clear whether all guests would get a place in the Club M24 in Pankow. – In the end, the club at Mühlenstrasse 24 was packed to the brim.
The mood of everyone was super warm and relaxed right from the start. After an amazing and tasty buffet that had a little bit of everything, the gig started on time at 8:00 p.m. Anne, the singer, welcomed the crowed with "Everybody Needs Somebody" and introduced Heinrich, the fellow singer. The party was in full swing, immediately. Already with "Let Me Entertain You" many guests extensively tested their vocal capacity and really rocked out with "Basket Case" and "Beds Are Burning", each sung by bass player Marc and guitar player Jörg.
As expected, the ba nd convinced with their balanced and rich sound of powerful bass and drums, precise, driving guitar and cool keyboard sounds. Anne and Heinrich's voices were harmonizing perfectly together while outstanding from the instruments and fitting flawlessly into the overall sound at the same time. After an energetic, rocking interpretation of "Superstition" and "What's Up", which ended in a groovy reggae, the highlights like "Use Somebody" and "Der Goldene Reiter" could not be missing. With "Pride - In The Name Of Love" Heinrich nailed it with his brilliant parade, pumping up the crowd and keeping the energy flowing during the short break before and into the second set of the evening. So with "Another Brick In The Wall" everyone was immediately back on track and Jörg once again blew everybody’s mind with the perfectly played, epic guitar solo. People couldn't resist hitting the dance floor when LeVeL 6 played hits like "Exs & Ohs", "Hollywood Hills", "Learn To Fly", "No Roots" and "Dance With Somebody". And just when everyone thought it couldn't get any better, Peter, the keyboardist, showed off his vocal skills and got the crowd hyped up with "Should I Stay Or Should I Go." Anne followed up with a killer performance of "Nutbush City Limit," and from there on, the audience couldn't hold back. The energy levels went through the roof with songs like "Sex On Fire," "Song 2," and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" blasting through the speakers! Man, what a freaking amazing show it was!
The crowd rocked, screaming for four more encores before LeVeL 6 finally called it a night. By that time, it was past 10:00 p.m., and we all wanted to be mindful of the neighbors. Of course, the great evening was far from over. There was more celebrating and dancing. It wasn't until after midnight that the band and the awesome guests joined forces, cleaning up the place together before finally saying goodbye to the club.
What a freaking unforgettable evening it was!
